Where do you transport vehicles from/to:
We are based out of Edmonton, Alberta and specialized in transportation from the western provinces into the South-Western United States, however are open to transport outside of our normal service areas for full loads.
How much does vehicle transport cost?
We only offer transportation in enclosed car haulers. Price depends on factors like distance and vehicle type. Please contact our office for a specific quote.
How long will it take to transport my vehicle?
Timing varies based on distance and logistics. Transport times can range depending on the route and load drop off locations.
What types of transport methods are available?
What documents are required for vehicle transport?
Canada to USA requirements:
- US Customs and Border Protection (3299) Form
- Copy of Passport
- Copy of Vehicle Ownership (Registration & Insurance)
- Proof of Residency in the United States e.g. tax or utility bill
- Canadian Property Tax Notice
- Letter to Boychuk Ventures Inc. authorizing transport
- Flight Itinerary
- Completed Shipment Detail Form
- Completed Shipping Contract
- Completed Limitations of Liabilities and Conditions or Carriage Form
- Completed Credit Card Authorization Form
- Any brokerage paperwork to be completed and provided if importing/exporting a vehicle to/from the United States
USA to Canada requirements:
- Completed Shipment Detail Form
- Completed Shipping Contract Form
- Completed Limitation of Liabilities and Conditions of Carriage Form
- Completed Credit Card Authorization Form
- Clear copy of the current vehicle registration
- Clear copy of the vehicle ownership e.g. Bill of Sale or Title
- A Letter stating “This vehicle has had no modifications, alterations, service, repairs, or tire replacements done while in the USA”
- Any brokerage paperwork to be completed and provided if importing/exporting a vehicle to/from the United States
Can I put personal items inside my vehicle?
We would prefer that the vehicle is empty of personal belongings as they are not insured and may create a challenge with customers. If you must include some personal belongings they can not be on Canada’s restricted and prohibited goods list, and you must include their details on page 2 of the 3299 form.
If I am taking my car to the United States, how long can it remain there?
As per Canada Customs, your vehicle needs to return to Canada in 6 months.
If I am purchasing a car in the United States/Canada, how do I import it to Canada/United States?
Boychuk Ventures Inc. is happy to transport your vehicle from the United States, Prior to transportation, you will need to contact a broker to have all the vehicle import work completed. We recommend Cole International, here is a link regarding information to import a vehicle to Canada.
